The Architect
The year is 1937. Skiing is still a laborious fight against gravity. But in Bregenz sits a man for whom this is not enough. Sepp Bildstein. Engineer. Ski jumper. Eccentric.
His record: 41 metres. His vision: A mechanical connection fusing Lech, Zürs, Zug, and Oberlech into one endless movement.

The Vision
Bildstein saw the future. He wanted to eliminate the laborious ascents to focus absolutely on the descent. More time. More space.
1937: Austria's first drag lift in Zürs. 1957: The Rüfikopf cable car. The circle closes.
The White Ring was born. Not as an attraction. As a manifesto.
The Madloch
Here the wheat is separated from the chaff. Ski Route 33 is unadulterated. No carpets of artificial snow. Moguls. Ice. Powder. Rock.
