    Welcome

    The History of Our House

Our à la carte restaurant at Balma invites you on a culinary journey of discovery. Our menu, defined by the highest quality and authenticity, celebrates the rich flavors of the region in every dish.

But Balma is more than just a restaurant - it's a convivial place, a platform for conversations, stories, and lasting memories.

    The Place

A Restaurant in Zug am Arlberg

BALMA stands in Zug, the hamlet above Lech am Arlberg. Drive up here and you leave the bustle of the village centre behind: Zug is a handful of houses set between meadows, with the Zugertal at its back. For its size, the hamlet carries a remarkable density of good cooking, and our restaurant sits right in the middle of it.

Our menu combines alpine classics with a Neapolitan pizza line from the wood-fired oven: the dough matures for 72 hours before it is baked. Why we take that time is told in our dough story. Wherever possible, the ingredients come from producers in the valley and the region.

From Lech, Zug is just a few bends up the valley; the base station of the Zugerbergbahn is a few steps from the house. If you plan to stop in after a day on the slopes or a hike, we recommend reserving ahead, especially in peak season.
