A House of Six Suites

The BALMA is a suite hotel: six suites, no rooms. The smallest measures 54 m², the penthouse 300 m² across three floors. In between are an atelier with a vaulted ceiling, a maisonette with a garden and two suites for two with south facing balconies. Booking here means booking a particular suite with its own character, not a room category.

Some things are the same in every suite: a wine fridge, a minibar and a fireplace are part of each one. Depending on the suite there are south balconies or terraces facing the Zugertal, full kitchens, underfloor heating, a whirlpool tub or a private fitness room. The individual suite pages list every detail.

Sauna Instead of Spa

There is no classic spa area at the BALMA, and that is deliberate. Sauna time here is private: the suites have their own saunas, Finnish or steam, depending on the suite. Nobody shares the heat with strangers, nobody books a time slot. The sauna belongs to the suite like the fireplace does.

The Location: Zug am Arlberg

The suites are not in the centre of Lech but in the hamlet of Zug in a side valley, a few minutes on foot from the Zuger Bergbahn base station. In winter that means living right by the slopes. In summer the Zugertal starts at the door. For celebrations, the house also offers space for private events.

Does BALMA offer ski-in/ski-out?

Yes, BALMA offers direct ski-in/ski-out access to the Ski Arlberg area with 305 km of slopes. The Zuger Bergbahn lift station is a 2-minute walk away.
