    Staying in Zug

    Hotel in Zug am Arlberg

Staying in Zug means staying where Lech am Arlberg is quiet: a small hamlet in the Zugertal valley, a few minutes by car from the centre of Lech. BALMA is the boutique hotel of this hamlet, a house with six suites and its own restaurant.

BALMA, Zug 344, 6764 Lech am Arlberg

Why Zug rather than the centre of Lech

Zug is the quiet side of Lech. Instead of through traffic and evening bustle there is the valley, the stream and the mountains, while the centre of Lech remains a few minutes away. If what you want after a day on the slopes or the trails is calm, that is exactly the reason to stay in Zug rather than in the village itself.

Six suites instead of many rooms

BALMA deliberately has just six suites. Every suite comes with a wine fridge, a minibar, a fireplace and its own private sauna; underfloor heating is standard throughout, and pets are welcome. To see how the individual suites are laid out, visit the suites overview.

    A restaurant in the house

The house is home to the BALMA Restaurant, with a kitchen built around a 72 hour dough fermentation and regional producers. For hotel guests that means dinner without a drive: the way from the table to your suite is a staircase. Menu and hours are on the restaurant page.

Winter and summer from the doorstep

The valley station of the Zuger Bergbahn is about a two minute walk from the house; ski passes are sold right there or online through Ski Arlberg. In summer, Zug is the starting point for walks into the Zugertal, fly fishing on the Lech river and the bike trails of the region. How to reach us is described on the getting here and contact page.
